The purpose of the MHSSA is to establish additional mental health partnerships between county mental health or behavioral health departments and local education entities (Partnership). The MHSSA incentivizes partnerships between behavioral health departments and education entities for the purpose of increasing access to mental health services in locations that are easily accessible to students and their families. The goal of this solicitation is to provide services through grants in the following categories: (1) Marginalized and Vulnerable Youth, (2) Universal Screening, (3) Sustainability, and (4) “Other Priorities” to allow applicants to identify and address their unique needs. There is $25 million available and multiple grants will be awarded.
