The Commission was created to help guide and support the principles and directives of The Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) to improve our state’s mental health system of services.
The Commission carries out the work of implementing the MHSA by creating four-year strategic plans to guide our work. The goal of all our strategic planning is ultimately to reduce the adverse outcomes of mental illness and promote the mental wellbeing of all Californians.
As we near the end of our current 2020-2023 Strategic Plan, it is time to develop our next plan, which will begin in January 2024.
