In the 2021-22 State Budget, the Commission received $5 million to support an initiative to county bullying related race, ethnicity, language, culture, and country of origin. On August 31, 2021 the Commission will be convening the first meeting of the Bullying Prevention Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee will help the Commission develop a social media proposal that will deliver trusted content designed to reduce the risks associated with bullying and build resiliency among children and youth. The committee will provide feedback on the social media strategy and recommendations for spending the $5 million.
