The Commission partnered with PRO Youth & Families for the first of four “Youth Advocacy Initiative Mental Health Events.”
Over 100 youth from the Commission’s 26 K-12 grantees came together to create networks that leverage their skills to advocate for their own mental health needs at the local and state levels. Grantees provided students with localized resources and educational materials, specific to their region.
Special guests addressed the youth at this event, including Sacramento County Office of Education Superintendent and MHSOAC Commissioner Dave Gordon.
