The California Association of Veteran Service Agencies and Nation’s Finest set up a booth in hopes to connect needed resources and information to the Veterans that attended the Placer County Stand Down. Along with providing housing and other valuable information, there was an informational handout, brief survey, as well as the CEO speaking during the event and promoting advocacy and the importance of staying involved. Staff were able to target those Veterans who were interested in being involved in more advocacy efforts and provide them with how and when they can start to do this. The Stand Down as a whole served around 430 Veterans and their families.
