Analyzed the impacts of AB2352 (psychiatric advanced directives, or “PADs”) on current sections of the probate code governing advanced health care directives (of which PADs are one version). Drafted a 13-page plain language explainer for Painted Brain (LLE) on advanced health care directives and the effect of changes to the probate code proposed by AB2352. Shared this letter with the MHSOAC and others to understand peers’ wishes for PADs with an emphasis on legally-effective language to carry out that intent.
