2-Day Virtual Youth Innovation Idea Lab – In Collaboration with Youth and Adult Allies from Solano, Yolo and Sacramento Counties

The Idea Lab is imagined as an intensive, interactive, and free-thinking environment where adult allies will join with youth leaders to immerse themselves in a collaborative thinking process. You will be joining a state-wide movement that needs your expertise, vision and dreams of what youth mental wellness can look like.
The workshop will result in the development of innovative concepts focused on increasing preventative mental health services in schools using youth-led approaches.

The 2-day Idea Lab will be hosted virtually through Zoom on Monday, August 17th and Tuesday August 18th and is a collaboration between the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission’s Youth Innovation Committee, Solano, Yolo and Sacramento counties, the Youth Leadership Institute and All Children Thrive, California.

This is the second Idea Lab hosted by the Youth Innovation Committee with the first having occurred on December 6, 2019 at UC Santa Barbara in collaboration with San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Kern Imperial and Santa Barbara counties.

One additional Idea Lab will be hosted in late 2020 in collaboration with Shasta County and surrounding regions. The project will conclude with a Youth Innovation Summit where the results of the project will be showcased and celebrated.
