Parents and Caregivers advocacy partner United Parents brought parents, caregivers, and advocates to Sacramento to advocate for and support Senate Bill 509 (Portantino) which ensures evidence-based behavioral health training for school staff across California. The event began with training and workshops on effective advocacy and concluded with community members meeting with legislators and staff (many of which being in the State Capitol for the first time).
