In a continuous commitment to supporting improved public access to and understanding of California’s mental health services, this page provides links to the oversight and accountability tools and reports. The reports are submitted by the MHSOAC, other State agencies, and the Counties. Additional reports and materials can also be found at County Submitted Reports and MHSOAC Research and Evaluation. Fiscal Reporting Tool
This tool displays information about the $1.5 billion to $2.0 billion annual Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) revenue sent to County Mental Health Plans (MHP, usually the county behavioral health department). It also displays MHSA spending and end-of-year closing balances of MHSA funds held by those plans, as reported by the counties. County MHPs also receive other funds, not reflected here, for many services provided in MHSA programs (such as reimbursements from Medi-Cal).
