Southern California officials gather in Long Beach to demand more homelessness funding

Saying the state faces a homelessness crisis, elected leaders from throughout Southern California gathered Thursday in Long Beach and called on Gov. Jerry Brown to set aside more funding to combat the problem.

“A crisis of this magnitude demands resources from all levels of government — local, state and federal — if we have any hope of solving this problem,” said Rep. Janice Hahn, D-San Pedro.
